Markus Zugehör Piano

Markus Zugehör studied French horn, piano and song composition at the Leipzig University of Music and Theatre and at the CNSM de Paris.
He was a lecturer at the Leipzig Academy of Music, the University of Halle and the Berlin University of the Arts.
His concert activities led him as a soloist, song accompanist and chamber musician, among others, through Germany, France, Greece, Switzerland, Spain, South Africa, North America,as well as to India, Benin and China (on behalf of the Goethe Institute).

From 2000 to 2006, he worked as musical assistant at the Gewandhaus zu Leipzig (for Riccardo Chailly, Herbert Blomstedt, Peter Eötvös, Philippe Herreweghe, Kurt Masur, among others) and as pianist of the GewandhausKammerchor Leipzig under the direction of Morten Schuldt-Jensen.

Furthermore, radio and CD recordings with Markus Zugehör were produced, among others by Wergo/Bayerischer Rundfunk (with Johanna Krumin), Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk, MDG and TALANTON records.

Regular collaborations connect him, among others. with the International Johann Sebastian Bach Competition Leipzig, Neue Stimmen Gesangswettbewerb Gütersloh and the Festspiele Mecklenburg Vorpommern.

Since 2016 he also engaged as a pianist of the Opera Studio of the Berlin State Opera.
