Anna Barbara Kastelewicz – Barockvioline

Anna Barbara Kastelewicz received her musical education as a violinist at the Academy of Music Hanns Eisler in Berlin and at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London with Professor Yfrah Neamen. She undertook additional studies in baroque violin with Rachel Podger. Another study period led her to Professor Fuks at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, in the USA. She gained wide musical experience in various classical orchestras, such as the Konzerthaus Orchester Berlin and the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, as well as from working with conductors such as Kurt Masur and Lorin Maazel. Born in Berlin, she lives as a freelance artist in the city.

Anna Barbara Kastelewicz plays baroque violin and modern violin.
Her repertoire ranges from Renaissance to Contemporary and includes musicals and jazz.
On her baroque violin Anna Barbara Kastelewicz plays violin solo programmes of classical baroque literature – from early to high baroque.

With fondness she performs as a soloist, with orchestra, the concertos by Bach and Vivaldi.
Anna Barbara Kastelewicz designs Violin solo programmes on the modern violin that include works of contemporary music from 20th and 21st Century oeuvres and counteracts them with baroque compositions.

She is the initiator and conductor of the two orchestrasnew baroque orchestra Berlin and new concert orchestra Berlin, which she also directs in many performances as concertmaster herself.

Arno Schneider – Cembalo

Arno Schneider grew up in Stade, studied church music in Stuttgart and Berlin, and Cembalo with Christine Schornsheim in Leipzig.

Besides his tutoring activity at the UdK-Berlin he plays regularly with numerous known choirs and orchestras, the Berliner Philharmonikern, the NDR-Radiophilharmonie, the Staatskapelle Dresden, Ensemble Resonanz , Musica Fiata and mny more. Also he participated in the CD-production of the Deutschen Symphonie-Orchesters, the Rundfunk Sinfonieorchesters or the NDR. Arno Schneider worked under prestigious conductors like Giovanni Antonini, Kent Nagano, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Andrew Manze, Ton Koopman and Reinhard Goebel.

Sarah Perl – Viola da Gamba

Sarah Perl studied Viola da Gamba with Achim Weigel in Würzburg, with Niklas Trüstedt in Berlin and Hille Perl in Bremen. She took master classes with Jordi Savall, Paolo Pandolfo and Wieland Kuijken.

She played concerts with ensembles like the Freiburger Barock Consort, the Deutschen Symphonie Orchester Berlin, Gesualdo Consort Amsterdam, Ars Nova Kopenhagen, Orlando di Lasso Ensemble and the EX early music ensemble Dublin. With her duo partner Mira Lange she works her way through the inexhaustible solo literature for Viola da Gamba.

Sarah Perl is member of the viola consort Sirius Viols, with whom she recorded many CD’s.

Sarah Perl lives in Berlin.
